Wine fills us with emotions and we all agree on this, but knowing that Filippo da Sterpeto, in 1243, was the first Captain Regent of the world’s oldest Republic adds a touch of fascination and wonder.A tribute then to this elegant and special wine, made using a selection of the country’s very best grapes.

Other Characteristics

  • Harvesting period: late September – early October;
  • Variety : 50% Cabernet – 45% Merlot – 5% Sangiovese;
  • Vinification : soft pressing, maceration on skins for 15 days, fermentation at controlled temperature in stainless steel;
  • Ageing: aged in French oak barriques for 18 months and in bottles for 12 months;
  • Analytical characteristics: 14% alcohol;
  • Tasting temperature: 16 / 18 °;
  • Number of bottles produced: 3.000;

Organoleptic Characteristics

  • Colour: deep ruby red;
  • Fragrance : fine and fruity, nuances of red fruits and berries such as blackberry, blueberry and cherry, with notes of undergrowth, spices, vanilla and a balsamic finale;
  • Flavour : well structured and very persistent, soft and harmonic with sweet tannins and just the right amount of acidity;
